Process Description:
Focalyx® Dx: The patient undergoes a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to detect 90% of benign and malignant lesions for diagnosis.
Focalyx® Bx: Using Focalyx® Fusion as a GPS, precise samples of identified lesions are taken through the perineal access to areas of the prostate inaccessible to transrectal biopsies, reducing infection risks.
Focalyx® Tx: Identified lesions are treated with cryoablation (very low temperatures to destroy malignant cells) using perineal access guided by Focalyx® Fusion like a GPS for precision and effectiveness. It is performed in the doctor's office.
